Charo Rodríguez

CHARO RODRÃGUEZ, MD, MSc, PhD, is a Professor (tenured) of Family Medicine and an Associate Member of the Institute of Health Sciences Education. Dr. Rodriguez completed her studies in Medicine at the University of Alicante, Spain, in 1983. Former general practitioner and primary care manager, she obtained a professional master’s degree in Health Economics and Health Care Management in 1991 also at the University of Alicante, and an MSc in Public Health (Management) at the University of Valencia, Spain, in 1992. She then completed a PhD in Public Health (Health Care Organization) at the University of Montreal in 2001. FRQS Research Scholar from 2004 to 2016, she was a member of the Â鶹Çø Center for Medical Education from 2009 to 2018, was awarded the 2013-2014 Cruess Faculty Scholar in Medical Education, and was included in the Dean of Faculty of Medicine’s Honour List for Educational Excellence in 2015. Dr. Rodríguez has been the inaugural Director of the Â鶹Çø Family Medicine Education Research Group (FMER), created in May 2014, and of the Medical Education Concentration of the MSc in Family Medicine, offered since September 2014.
