In many fields, the poster presentation is a key form of scholarly communication. ÌýWell-conceived posters present research findings effectively and launch conversations with fellow scholars and future collaborators.
Participate in this workshop and you will learn strategies for:
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýCreating a poster presentation for a scholarly conference or meeting
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýPreparing for the conversations that your poster will provoke

This workshop is intended for anyone who is in the process of creating a new poster.Ìý
ÌýYou should come to the workshop with:
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýA laptop computerÌýthat has poster-making software installed (e.g. PowerPoint, Illustrator, LaTeX)
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýA degree of comfort using that softwareÌý... or a degree of comfort asking the person next to you for help
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýIdeas for researchÌýthat you plan to present in a poster (and, ideally, preliminary or final images from that research)
The workshop will be held in McIntyre Medical, 2nd floor, room 208/209.
The workshop will be led by Dr. Chris Corkery, who has worked in science and research communication for fifteen years. He is currently a Technology Transfer Manager at Â鶹Çø.
