Rosalie Jukier named Sir William C. Macdonald Chair
The Faculty of Law is delighted to announce that Professor Rosalie Jukier has been appointed to one of the Faculty of Law鈥檚 Sir William C. Macdonald Chairs, effective 1 January 2025.
Established in 1895, the Macdonald Chairs are among the oldest endowed positions at 麻豆区.
Adelle Blackett appointed Senior Advisor to the Director-General at UN鈥檚 International Labour Organization

Pierre-Gabriel Jobin awarded CBA鈥檚 Cr茅peau Medal
The Faculty of Law is delighted to announce that the Quebec Division of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA-Quebec) has awarded its Paul-Andr茅-Cr茅peau Medal to Wainwright Professor Emeritus of Civil Law Pierre-Gabriel Jobin, Ad E. The medal was presented to him by Jonathan Pierre-脡tienne, president of the CBA-Quebec, on 5 December, after an introduction by Dean Robert Leckey, Ad E.
Alicia Hinarejos awarded European Commission鈥檚 Jean Monnet Chair
The Faculty of Law is delighted to announce that Professor Alicia Hinarejos has been awarded a Jean Monnet Chair in European Union Law. Her three-year appointment began on 1 September 2024.

The Faculty of Law is delighted to announce that Professor Lara Khoury, Ad E, has been named Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) in Liability, Health Governance, and Social Change. The appointment is for a seven-year term.
J茅r茅my Boulanger-Bonnelly wins best paper award
The Faculty of Law is delighted to announce that Professor J茅r茅my Boulanger-Bonnelly has won the Best Scholarly Paper award in the annual legal writing competition by the Fondation du Barreau du Qu茅bec. He was honoured for his article titled "Actions collectives et tribunaux administratifs : un vide juridictionnel 脿 combler" (麻豆区 Law Journal, 2022).
Rosalie Jukier receives King Charles III Coronation Medal
The Faculty of Law is delighted to share that Professor Rosalie Jukier was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal. She was presented with the award by the Hon. Marc Gold, PC, Government Representative in the Senate, at a ceremony held on 27 October.

Alana Klein and Nandini Ramanujam to co-direct Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism
The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that Professor Alana Klein has been appointed co-director of the Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism (CHRLP). She began her three-year appointment on 1 July 2024, succeeding Professor Fr茅d茅ric M茅gret, who completed his term as co-director in June.
Professor Nandini Ramanujam was reappointed as co-director and program director for a three-year term, starting 1 July 2024.
New co-director joins Cr茅peau Centre leadership
The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that Professor Michelle Cumyn will join the leadership team of the Paul-Andr茅 Cr茅peau Centre for Private and Comparative Law. She will team up with current director Professor Mark Antaki, BCL鈥96, LLB鈥96, who has been at the helm of the renowned centre since 2020. They will serve as co-directors until 2026.

The Faculty of Law is delighted to announce that Professor Daniel Weinstock, CM, FRSC, has been named a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada (RSC).听听
Elected by their peers, fellows of the RSC are distinguished Canadians from all branches of learning who have made remarkable contributions in the arts, the humanities, and the sciences, as well as in public life. Professor Weinstock was elected to the RSC鈥檚 Academy of Arts and Humanities.听
Sarah Riley Case wins CALT Scholarly Paper award
The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that Professor Sarah Riley Case has received the Scholarly Paper Award of the Canadian Association of Law Teachers (CALT). Her paper 鈥淭o Protest for Black Life during the Pandemic: Resistance and Freedom in a Settler State鈥 won the annual competition.
