Overview

Public Law 2 : Survey of principles of sentencing and correctional law in Canada. This course reviews general principles such as aims of punishment, matters of procedures and evidence, and review of sentences by appellate courts. A detailed examination of selected topics include participation of victims in sentencing, dangerous offenders, native offenders, homicide cases.
