    Library & Information Studies : A two-term in-depth research study leading to the preparation of a research paper with potential for publication. The subject of the study will vary according to the student's interests and pre supposes some detailed background knowledge in the area to be researched. Working with a faculty supervisor, the student will plan, conduct and document a piece of research.

    Overview

    Library & Information Studies : An in-depth exploration of a topic in library and information studies which is not emphasized or elaborated in any other part of the curriculum. The subject will vary according to the student's interests. It may be a work of synthesis, a research paper of limited scope, a state-of-the-art paper or a project which is an outgrowth of course work or in an area not covered in the curriculum. The student will work with a faculty supervisor to plan and pursue an individualised program of study.
