We are committed to the highest standards of academic excellence, research and innovation, and to fostering dynamic collaborations at the local, national and global levels. We espouse a Strengths-Based approach to nursing and healthcare, a philosophy and value-driven approach to guide clinicians, leaders, and educators, spearheaded by Â鶹Çø's own Laurie Gottlieb, RN, PhD.

The School offers students the chance to explore, discover and learn about the many rewarding opportunities the nursing profession has to offer in the 21st century. At the Ingram School of Nursing, we believe that nurses do much more than care for individuals.

Building on our reputation as a centre of academic excellence, we will lead the way in nursing education, practice, discovery, and collaboration to meet the healthcare needs of today and tomorrow.

Nursing Matters

Providing 90% of health care services in the world, nurses have always have been at the forefront of change in health care and public health. Nurses advocate for health promotion, educate patients and the public on the prevention of illness and injury, provide care and assist in rehabilitation, and provide support. No other health care professional has such a broad and far-reaching role. Nurses help families learn to become healthy by helping them understand the range of emotional, physical, mental and cultural experiences they encounter during health and illness. Nurses help people and their families cope with illness.
