Renewable Resources (M.Sc.)

Program Description

The Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Renewable Resources (Thesis) offered by the Department of Natural Resource Sciences in the Faculty of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences is a research-intensive program that emphasizes transformative and in-depth learning opportunities. The program's objective is to equip students with skills in data analysis, resourceful thinking, and presentation skills to either continue their studies or pursue professional opportunities.

In addition to the regular program, students may also specialize by taking an option:

Neotropical Environment option: is aimed at students who wish to focus their graduate research on environmental issues relevant to the Neotropics and Latin American countries.

Unique Program Features

  • Faculty members common areas of interest include environmental and ecological economics, environmental health and toxicology, forest ecology, fish and fisheries biology, landscape ecology, limnology, micrometeorology, soil science, and wildlife biology;
  • Graduates pursue careers in academia, government agencies, and industry.

University-Level Admission Requirements

  • An eligible Bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA out of a possible 4.0 GPA
  • English-language proficiency
