About Veldon Coburn

Veldon Coburn is Anishinaabe, a citizen of the Algonquins of Pikwàkanagàn First Nation. Veldon is an Associate Professor and Faculty Chair of Indigenous Relations at Â鶹Çø. His current research focuses on Indigenous identity politics, Canadian – Indigenous politics, settler colonialism, postcolonial theory, anti- and decolonizing theories of society, state and power. In addition to his academic pursuits, Veldon has over a decade of professional experience in program and strategic Indigenous policy with the Government of Canada.

About Guadalupe Cruz Orozco

Guadalupe Cruz Orozco (she/her) is an academic and research associate, supporting the academic programs of the Health portfolio, domain and cross-domain initiatives for strategic collaboration, international engagement, and overall academic mission of the Governance and Administration Domain at the Â鶹Çø SCS.

She holds a Master of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in Development Studies, Â鶹Çø - Institute for the Study of International Development, where she was affiliated to the Institute for the Study of International Development and a Student Fellow of the Research Team on Inclusion and Governance in Latin America - ÉRIGAL

During her master's program at Â鶹Çø, she specialized on the politics of education policies, comparative politics of education and development, with a key focus on policy institutions and governments as they strive to ensure access and coverage for education.

About Nadège Firsova

Nadège Firsova, Ph.D., is the Director of the Administration and Governance (A&G) academic domain and a faculty member at the Â鶹Çø School of Continuing Studies. Her primary responsibilities include the curriculum development and delivery of programs in the A&G domain fostering the development of broad competencies related to planning, analyzing, and controlling the execution of private- and public-sector strategies. The domain's program portfolio includes human resources management (HRM), accounting, finance, and public administration, as well as specific applications of these competencies to fields such as health and social services management, parliamentary governance, and property management.

Previously, Nadège held several senior strategy roles at Bombardier Aerospace, where she facilitated the development of the company’s international business development strategies and was involved in negotiations with major players in the aerospace industry, as well as the Canadian government.

Nadège holds a Doctoral degree in Business Administration and an MBA from the University of Quebec and a Bachelor’s degree in International Commerce and Business from Sorbonne University in Paris, France.

Nadège is a Member of the Board of the Montreal Chapter of CERBA - Canada Eurasia Business Association and a Member of G20-B20 Taskforce on Employment and Education.
