Published: 19 December 2013

The Faculty of Law of 鶹 is delighted to announce that starting January 2014, it will host The American Journal of Comparative Law, in partnership with the Georgetown University Law Center. Professor Helge Dedek, who is Director of the Institute of Comparative Law at 鶹, has been named co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal, together with two colleagues in Washington D.C.

“This is a fantastic indication of the high regard for 鶹 in the global comparative law circles,” said Dean Daniel Jutras. “We are seen as a leading and uniquely innovative centre in this field: in 2012, the American Society for Comparative Law elected our colleague Patrick Glenn as its president, and now it has placed the future of their prized Journal in the hands of another 鶹 Professor – our colleague Helge Dedek.”

Professor Dedek will be working closely with Professors James Feinerman and Franz Werro at Georgetown University Law Center. “I’m thrilled about this unique opportunity, and I’m very grateful that Dean Jutras supported the idea to bring the Journal to 鶹 from the get-go,” said Professor Dedek. “Editing the Journal will be another chance for 鶹 to significantly contribute to the intellectual landscape of comparative law, a field that is at the heart of our mission.”
